The Summer Camp Chronicles is a podcast hosted by Ben Jerez and Eric Sasson. Ben and Eric camp directors who are incredibly passionate about the transformative impact that summer camp has on the lives of young people. There’s simply nothing in the world quite like it and those unique qualities of camp create lifelong memories for all who are lucky enough to have camp experiences. So many of those memories center around things like lifelong friendships, personal growth, a profound sense of community, and inspirational leadership. Others are silly or hilarious, embarrassing or disgusting. The Summer Camp Chronicles is here to talk about all of it: the good, the bad and the just plain gross!

Ben was born and raised in Perth, Australia. He graduated with a degree in education and is currently finishing up a Masters in applied behavioral analysis. Ben grew up playing Australian rules football and surfing. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his fiancee, Nicole. The two of them live together outside of Chicago with their golden retriever, Juniper.

Eric grew up outside New York City and has been spending his summers at sleepaway camp for almost 40 years. He majored in Math at Haverford College and got a Masters in Education from Harvard University. He currently lives near Philadelphia with his wife, Debbie, and two children. Outside of his camp life, he loves playing pickleball, watching hockey, reading novels and hanging out with his family.
